The Louisiana Solid Waste Association and the LDEQ have been closely monitoring and evaluating the spread of the coronavirus and the concerns of all involved with the conference. The health and safety of attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and staff must be our top priority. As a result, we are rescheduling the LA Environmental Conference and Trade Fair to September 16-18, 2020, in Lafayette, LA.
This decision was made after consulting with LSWA Officers/Board Members, Secretary Chuck Carr Brown, exhibitors, attendees, and others. We unanimously agree that rescheduling the conference is the responsible and prudent decision and is consistent with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health agencies’ recommendations to limit large gatherings.
